Why sign up for the club dues full payment plan? Enjoy the many benefits available to club members on the full-payment plan. A one time fee of only $65 covers all meetings, plus discounts for DB15 special events. This year members received benefits that totaled well over the dues amount. Substantial discounts were provided for the TAP NY beer fest trip, the Newark Bears baseball outing, the NJ Brewers Festival, and the Victorian Dinner. In addition members on the full pay plan are exempt from the individual meeting beer fee. Ask any Cask Commissioner for the full details at the next meeting. |

Upcoming Meetings April 26- TAP-NY Brewfest Cost of trip for non-members $100 Members fee is only $55 TAP features nearly 300 individual beers Fee includes: coffee/bagels at Gaslight, transportation, festival ticket, all food at festival, beer on the bus. This trip sells out early so sign up now at Gaslight. Because of the TAP-NY trip there will be no regular April meeting. ------------ May 17 - HOME BREW CHALLENGE Style: Maibock See Dan at U-Brew/Gaslight for info and ingredients. Novice and experienced brewers are encouraged to enter. -------- March Meeting Notes by Dan Hodge Meeting started on time @4:00 PM and was the annual “IPA Bracket” Beer March Madness meeting. Members in attendance were Dan Soboti, DJ Soboti, Dan Hodge, Vince Capano, Jeff Levine,Mark Ferguson, Glenn DeLuca, Tom Nooney, Brandon Einhorn, Livingston Hinckley, Raffi Manjeekian, Chris Johnson, Randy Needham, Matt Chuchla, Vince Holmes, Mike Depoy, Rebecca Espinal, Sean Guarnaccia, Nick Moramarco, Scott Reino, Lynn Lewis, Bob Fleno, . Non-members in attendance were: John O’Reilly, Ron Suarez, Sarah Valero, Dave Bumb, Dave Burfort, Troy Titus, Allen Wood, Greg Stanziale. The IPAs tried were: Six Points Begali, East Coast Beach Haus Cruiser, Neshaminy Creek County Line, River Horse, Yards, Troegs Perpetual, Founders Centennial, Long Trail, Ballantine, Diamond Knot Industrial, Clown Shoes Galactica, Pike, Elysian Space Dust, Casco Bay, Cigar City Jai Alai, Thomas Creek Class 5, Abita Wrought Iron, Humboldt Nectar, Terrapin High 5, Uinta Hop Nosh, Horny Goat Hopped up and Horny, Boulevard Single Wide, Anchor, Lavery Dulachan, Sam Adams Rebel, 21st Ammendment, Fish Hodgson’s Bitter End, DuClaw Anti-Venom, Bolero Snort Long Hop, Free Will Techno, Port Wipe Out and Diamond Knot Industrial. The “Final Four”(semifinal match-up) results were Clown Shoes defeated Six Point, Cigar City bested Single Wide. In the final, Clown Shoes handily beat Cigar City! The entire bracket results and match scores are now listed on the DraughtBoard15 Facebook page and here in the right margin - Thanks to DJ for collating all the tallies! Beers tried after the meeting were: 1.Cigar City Medura Brown Ale provided by Chris Johnson 2. Cigar City Invasion Pale Ale provided by Chris Johnson 3. Belly Love Brown Ale provided by Chris Johnson 4. Jackie O’s Chomo Lung-ma Honey Nut Brown Ale provided by Dave Bumb 5. Fat Heads Headhunter IPA provided by Dave Bumb 6. Hoppin’ Frog Cafe Silk Porter provided by Dave Bumb Thanks Chris and Dave!! Prior to the meeting it was announced that U-Brew now has the recipe and ingredients for the May “maibock” home-brew competition. See Dan at U-Brew asap. This was the meeting at which dues and fees for the TAP- NY trip were due. In addition a 50/50 was held and instead of picking a number , each ticket represented one of the competing IPAs and the person who held the ticket with the winning IPA won the 50/50 There was a lot of beer left over which were given away by order of ascending and then descending lottery numbers in the usual format. Most attendees got three bottles-free! ---------- Special thanks to Dan Hodge for securing all the beer for the meeting and to DJ Soboti for doing all the seedings. ========= NOTES ON THE FEBRUARY MEETING THE NOTES ON JANUARY MEETING ---------- Annual DB15 membership fee is now payable - see Jeff at the Gaslight. Dues: $65 which includes all club meetings and all event discounts. The total savings equal much MORE than the amount of the dues!
