Special Event - July 9- BBQ, Beer, and Baseball

Special Event Gaslight Field Trip On Saturday, August 9th, the Gaslight is sponsoring a field trip to Riverfront Stadium to watch the Newark Bears play the Somerset Patriots in exciting minor league baseball action. Enjoy a tasty BBQ and delicious Gaslight beer beginning at 3 PM.  Next up is a short walk to the station for the 4:59 PM train and a quick ride to the ballpark for the 6:05 PM game. Everything - the BBQ, beer, round trip train ride from South Orange to Newark, and a ticket to the game - is included in the $38 package.  For those under 21 the price is $25, for children under 4 the fee is $15.  Please reserve by August 2, 2008. As usual, there is no August meeting.  Out next regular meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 14. ---------------------------- Record Setting DB15 Member Discount! The cost of the baseball trip to club members on the full payment plan is only $18. The difference will be funded by the DB15.   Treasurer Brian Lynch, who approved the record setting discount, said "this is another example of club dues at work!" ----------------------------- Wisconsin Beers Score Special thanks to intrepid beer travelers Tom and Stephanie Nooney for their great presentation on the "Secret Beers of Milwaukee" at the July meeting.  They not only treated us to a tutored tasting of rare Wisconsin brews but also provided   fascinating background on the brewing history of the region.
