| You don't say..... The perfect pour for a Belgium beer has a well-developed head, which cannot be achieved by tilting the glass and pouring slowly. Lift the bottle and back off on an angle, so the beer comes out in a thin stream. Then the glass should be filled until the froth comes out in a head. Do not forget to leave some beer in the bottle. Pour the last bit of beer into the glass using the same "thin stream" as before. This will once again push up the head, but it will be even and symmetrical. --------------------- There's another wild beer out there from, who else, Dogfish Head. It's Theobroma, which translates to “food of the gods” in Greek. The beer is derived from an ancient Aztec recipe that is believed to be the first chocolate beverage ever consumed by humans. Theobroma aims to dispel the notion that chocolate-flavored alcohol is only for ladies as it comes in at a hearty nine percent ABV. ------------- Kimber VanRy was sitting on his stoop in Brooklyn, drinking a beer, when a police officer gave him a $25 ticket for drinking his bottle of Sierra Nevada in public. New York defines a public place as one “to which the public has access". Van Ry contents his stoop is private property and that "next you'll be arrested for drinking that beer in your kitchen." His case is pending. |

Royal staff had no record of any such order when a truck turned up at Windsor Castle, west of London, with 12 barrels of lager ahead of England's football World Cup qualifying match . A quick telephone call revealed the mistake - the booze had been destined for the Windsor Castle pub eight kilometres away in Maidenhead in Berkshire county.
