mR. bReWski says.......
Highest Brewery in the World
Unlike wine, beer can be made anywhere. All you need is water, malted barley, hops and yeast. But to market a new brand successfully, you need a gimmick. The Swiss Monstein brewery has it.
"It's the highest brewery in Europe," says Andreas Aergerter, the manager and one of the founders .
"We call our brewery the 'last beer stop before heaven', because it adds to the brewery's appeal, especially among English speakers who like the slogan."
But brewing at 1,600 metres above sea level does present problems. Aergerter had to install a special kettle to account for the difference in atmospheric pressure, which makes water boil at a lower temperature. He also had to find a yeast that would work in the thinner air.
Beer and Baseball
In the 1921 World Series New York Giants Manager John McGraw told his ballplayers that it was a sign of good luck if they could spot a beer wagon before going to the game. He then hired a driver to haul a wagon outside the ballpark when he knew his players would be arriving His team won. McGraw then hired the driver for the rest of the series and the Giants won very game.

7 Reasons Why Beers is Better Than Wine
1. Beer doesn't rely on a piece of wood to
give it character.
2. The twist off cap. Wine makers are just
starting to figure that one out.
3. Beer doesn 't need a movie about two
losers (Sideways) to increase its popularity.
4. Beer never has a "bad year."
5. No phony pseudo-sophisticated snobby
elitist names starting with "chateau."
6. Beer is so cool we use to to describe
ourselves. We want six-pack abs, not
magnum thighs.
7. The Mayflower was loaded with beer not
wine. So was Ben Franklin when he
discovered electricity.

The People's Daily, China- "When the beer bubbles, the masses forget their troubles."
Drew Carey - “Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.”
Fran Lebowitz- "The telephone is a good way to talk to people without having to offer them a drink."
