Flying Fish Fried Ice Cream I've never had fried ice cream but this is what I image it would taste like. That may or may not be a compliment. It brings a nose of chocolate, sugar, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. First sip brings tastes of vanilla, sweet chocolate, slightly herbal coffee, and a hint or orange. Great fun as a dessert sipper but might be a struggle as a pint. Alcohol is prsent but not overpowering. Overall Rating: Above Average+
Von Trapp Bohemian Pilsner This is a 5.4% Bo. Expect a nose of Bohemian Pils that shows off the style well. Aroma holds a long note of grassy hops and wet hay, deepening with crackery malt, a tinge of blackpepper. Taste brings notes of bread, fresh dough, crackers, and pilsner malt. This is a well made, refreshing beer that is clean crisp, and most drinkable. Overall Rating: Good
Sierra Nevada 40th Hoppy Sierra's 40th Hoppy Anniversary Ale (they've been around that long?) is a 6% American IPA that doesn't quite live up to the "hoppy" part of it's name at least by today's standards Aroma is caramel, pine, and orange peel. Flavors are pine, grapefruit and a light bitterness over a malt base. Balanced and subdued it's a homage to old schoo West Coast IPAs but that's it. Overall Rating: Good-
