Victory Jubilee This is a 121% ABV Bière de Champagne / Bière Brut a new style that some see as a crossover beer. Aromas lemon, peach, pear, apricot, orange, grape must, and white wine greet you. Taste brings more of the same plus apples, bread dough, and a yeast spicainess over a herbal/floral/grassy bitterness. Very complex and interesting though the alcohol is too far in front of the flavors. Overall Rating: Good
Captain Lawrence 6th Borough Pilsner This a 5% ABV Cech pilsner. Nose is a spicy mix with lemon and Vienna malt leading the way. The flavor rises above the standard pils thanks to the zest of hops. Expect flavors of peach, orange peel, and grapefruit with a background of earthy floral notes along with hints of sweet hers. Finish is crisp, clean, and dry. Well made. Even if you don't like pilsners give this one a try. Overall Rating: Good+
Knee Deep Simtra This is a West Coast style triple IPA that comes in just over 11% ABV. Smell is pungently dank with orange and citrus rind. Taste brings loads of aggressive Simcoe hops balanced by with the more delicate, fruity Citra hop. The alcohol is extremely well hidden under the bitterness and malt strength. Finish brings a lasting pine, hop bitterness. An excellent example of the style. Overall Rating: Very Good+
