| Oskar Blues Priscilla Wit This is a typical American version of a typical Belgium wit. At 5.2% ABV it opens with smells of clove, grain, spices, wheat, and a bit of citrus. Expect flavors of bread,orange,lemon and banana. Hops are hard to find. Finish brings yeast, cloves, and light spice. A solid if unengaging version of the style. Overall Rating: average+ |
| Magic Hat Dream Machine IPL This is an India Pale Lager with a 5.7% ABV. Aromas feature clean pine scents with hints of caramel and malt. First sip brings a bracing hop presence followed by citrus, bread, yeast notes. The dry finish leans to a light bitterness mixed with a nicely balanced hop - malt mix. Overall this IPL leans to the hop side which makes for a refreshing drink albeit with a somewhat thin mouthfeel. Overall Rating: good+ |
| Third Rock The Rock IPA This is one of the better offerings from the Third Rock Brewery in North Carolina. It opens with a nose of fresh hops, citrus fruits, pineapple, and light malt. Taste brings mango, peach, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Finish is nicely brisk and clean. Overall a well make IPA (6.6% ABV) that is both interesting and refreshing. Overall Rating: Very Good- |
