Green Flash Passion Fruit Kicker This American pale wheat ale (5.5%) is a drinkable, refreshing beer. The nose features passion fruit up front as promised with, some lime and other citrus notes. Taste leans towards a typical wheat ale with a touch of sweetness up front and a light tartness in the back. Expect notes of grain, lemon, peach, and yes, passion fruit. A light summer refresher but nothing more Overall Rating: average+
Long Trail Space Juice The can of this imperial stout (8.7%) out of Vermont makes the point there is no juice inside which is a good thing to remember since it opens with a very big juicy hop aroma of orange, tangerine, passion fruit, citrus, and tropical fruits. Taste brings vibrant fruity characters and a wonderful hop bitterness balanced by lightly sweet malt on the back end. Best I've ever had from this solid brewery. Overall Rating: Outstanding+
Oskar Blues Beerito This is a light (4%) "Mexican" lager or if you prefer, Vienna Lager. It opens with a sweet malt and a slight fruity aroma with hints of apple. Malts lead the flavor profile with hints of toast, brown sugar, nuts, and a light grassy hop bitterness. The beer is clean throughout and has a nice dry finish. It's definitely better than I expected but then again the bar was set fairly low. Overall Rating: above average
