Schlafly's Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout This is a well make Russian Imperial Stout (10.5% ABV) aged before being carbonated and bottled. The aroma offers big oak, vanilla, and coffee/chocolate. Taste brings light almonds, cinnamon, dark fruit, backed by strong hints of bourbon. Caramel and vanilla round out the oak and coffee finish. A bit thin in mouthfeel for the style but a good representation of style. Overall Rating: Very Good+
Troegs Blizzard of Hops This is a very solid if unspectacular American IPA at 6.4% ABV. It opens with a nice nose of grapefruit, cantaloupe, and honeydew. Trast brings slightly sweet malt upfront blending with light tart/citrus notes featuring apple, melon, and a touch of grapefruit. The finish is a lightly hopped fruit cake of flavors. It's certainly not ahop bomb "blizzard" but is nonetheless a beer worth trying. Well made. Overall Rating: Good+
Forgotten Boardwalk IPA The beer's full name is 1916 Shore Shiver. It's a well balanced East Coast IPA at 6.9% ABV. Aroma features citrus, cut grass, and a bit of spice. Taste brings nectarine, peach, light grapefruit, and malt. A bit thin and a touch under hopped but clean and crisp. A solid offering from a new brewery. Overall Rating: Above Average+
